What is a desktop licence?
This licence permits the licensor to install the typeface on a specified number of computers. Please see the EULA for more information.
What is a web licence?
This licence permits the licensor to install the typeface on a single website up to the specified number of unique monthly visitors. The costing is based on a tiered system that increases as the number of page views goes up per month. This is a one-off cost, with no subscription fees or renewals. We deliver web fonts in four formats to support a wide range of browsers, including: .TTF, .EOT, .WOFF & .WOFF2. Please see the EULA for more information.
What is an app licence?
This licence permits the licensor to install the typeface on a mobile application up to the specified number of active monthly devices. Please see the EULA for more information.
What is a trial licence?
This licence permits the licensor to install the typeface for non-commercial trial purposes. Please see the EULA for more information.
What is an EULA?
EULA stands for “End User License Agreement”. The EULA becomes a binding contract between you and CoType Foundry when you commence a Font Software download, or if you acquire Font Software on a permanent medium, when you open the package in which the software is contained. If you do not wish to be bound by the EULA, do not purchase, access, download and/or install or otherwise use the Font Software. You can review our EULAs here.
What is an unlimited license?
For larger organisations we offer a bespoke corporate licence, that enables unlimited usage across all touch points and mediums. A Corporate License can be licensed to any company or organisation that either have no possibility to keep track of desktop users or page views, or have a very large number of users and several domains with busy traffic or other special needs.
We offer a straight forward negotiable license agreement, one-time payment and endless use. Included is unlimited use for all medias and sharing to partners. We can also provide modifications and rename the fonts to your own font name if required. Please get in touch for more information.
I’m a designer - does my client need to purchase a license too?
Yes, essentially anyone using the font/s requires a license. The license required depends on the usage – I.e number of users (desktop) or page views per month in the case of a web license.
Can I use CoType Foundry fonts in a logo?
Yes, you may use the font to create a company logo, however you may not include the typeface design in any trademark registration. Other restrictions to the use of the ‘Font Software’ are set forth in Section 5 and 6 of our desktop EULA.
Do you offer a custom typeface service?
Yes, we do. CoType Foundry undertakes custom type commissions and modifications of our current catalogue of typefaces. You can view selected past projects on this site here. Please contact us with your requirements.
What payment options do you offer?
We accept secure online credit card payments via Stripe and PayPal.
Can I pay by invoice?
Yes, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org, we will then send you an invoice for payment. All fonts will be delivered via email as soon as payment has been received.
Do you offer refunds?
Unfortunately not. Due to the digital nature of fonts, refunds and exchanges are not possible once payment has been made, since there is no way for us to verify whether you still hold copies of the font software. We advise you check your shopping cart carefully before making any purchases from our site. We also offer free trials on our entire font library, allowing you to try before you buy.
How do I contact you?
You can email us at: email@example.com or call: +44 (0) 788 153 7175. We will endeavour to respond to you as quickly as possible (usually within 24 hours).
